about

Elsewhere is a Symphonic Metal project founded in 2024 founded by Nikki and Nic. Both involved in the composition process, Elsewhere is the culmination of both musicians dabbling in this style in private for years without making anything public. The debut single “The Last Ember” aims to be the introduction to Elsewhere and the first of many singles to be released in 2024.

Although “The Last Ember” could perhaps best be described as Symphonic Metal with a tinge of Power Metal, Elsewhere draws influence from many adjacent genres including Gothic Metal, Black Metal, and Soundtracks which will become more apparent in future releases.

On “The Last Ember”, Elsewhere collaborated with Finnish-Canadian Vocalist Elvann

From the void and into decay
Born in ash, an ember in the fray
Doomed to set the planet ablaze
cause we keep on fanning the flame.

Ghostly lights in a sea of black,
Immaculate, time-traversing
haunting shimmer,
eons withered -

stars, that guide us from hell and back.
Celestial, mortal beings;
Death gives meaning to the living.

Doomed to set the planet ablaze
cause we keep on fanning the flame.

Crimson skies in a scorched earth haze.
The nebulous, blood-stained heavens
veil our last hope in the cosmos

Moonless nights in a barren land,
Depriving me of stimulation;
Lonely prayers in this tale of -

kings, queens, gods and dreams.
I'm an animal, survival instincts
leave me restless until the next -

hunt. Food; the vagrant's gold.
If this is all there is,
then why keep fighting?
The void is calling;
the place I once called home.

Decadence!
No honor's worth saving
cause evil men, will take it from me.
My innocence could never survive
in a world made to hurt you.

No expense is worth all the torture.
Giving in to chaos is order.
Joining them; a wolf in the sheep's den.
Let's go on a journey...

Little black cat in the royal's maze,
Chasing a mouse in their twisted game.

Run from the strong puppets,
Kill off the weak.

Everyone has to join in their race,
Get in first place and you'll get a taste.

Run from the strong puppets,
Kill off the weak.

From the void and into decay
Born in ash, an ember in the fray
Doomed to set the planet ablaze
cause we keep on fanning the flame.

Onwards we stride
in an endless design,
where the poor are exiled
and there's no use playing the game

of figures, shadows,
always hiding scoundrels.

Doomed to set the planet ablaze,
and we're the fodder stoking the flame.
